1st Grade Family Portraits

The family is certainly one of nature’s masterpieces and here is an expression of this in these beautiful Family Portrait paintings created by the artists in the 1st grade classes. The students explored drawing the human face then created paintings of themselves at the center of the composition with their family all around.

t draw examples of shape vocabulary in sketchbook.
t create artwork using shapes.
n compare and contrast shapes in works of art.
n draw shapes as described in verbal directions.
n create an original shape by joining different types of lines.

v locate, identify and analyze shape in portraits as well as other artworks.
